General Update 03/10/2010:
Lower trails are currently in great riding condition and mostly dry. Higher trails and sections of trails that are protected from the wind and sun have many stretches of moisture and mud. Specifically Watchman and Fat Tire Traverse currently have stretches of mud, while 5 Mile, 3 Bears, Trail 5, and Sidewinder remain in pretty good shape.
Remember, when you encounter areas that are muddy, soft or wet remember to ride directly through them, not around them, to avoid widening of the trails.
Check the links below for updated conditions.
Please remember that staying off the trail means not using them, it doesn't mean walking or riding off the trail or above the trail. Doing so results in trail widening and damage to the vegetation.
Rule of Thumb for Winter Trail Use:
If you are consistently leaving tracks or if mud is sticking to your tires, you should turn around. If the trail only contains short stretches of mud (8 - 10 feet or less), then the trail is useable. Also, please ride through short sections of mud or water, going around them widens the trail and damages the vegetation.

All use is discouraged on the WMA during the winter for wintering wildlife. Conditions will be updated in the Spring.
