DESCRIPTION:Ridge to Rivers has a contractor about to start building a brand new trail from the new Forest Service parking lot down to the Stack Rock Connector. They’re asking for our help in clearing cut brush from the course so that the contractor can start building the trail! Should be about 1.5 miles that we’ll be removing brush from.\nLet’s get it cleared so that we can ride new trail ASAP! \nWear long pants\, a long sleeved shirt\, and sturdy work shoes. SUMMARY:Stack Rock Connector Trail Brush Clearing Pt. II
DESCRIPTION:We had an outstanding crew help with clearing the upper half- it looks great\, and Cuddy Trails is up there building from the parking lot down.\n\nLast week\, USFS had a crew out cutting brush on the lower half\, and it’s ready to be cleared as well. It’s steep\, difficult terrain\, so I’m asking for experienced\, motivated individuals to give us a hand!\n\nWe’re going to break this up over a couple of sessions- the first will be this Thursday at 6:30. We’ll meet at about 5:45 at Highland’s Elementary and I’d like to carpool as much as possible. If you want to meet up there\, we’ll be starting at Brewer’s Bend\, the wide shoulder/parking area on the right\, a little before mile marker 13.\n\nPlease have long pants\, long sleeves\, gloves\, sturdy work boots\, and eye protection.
