  • 1992-1995
    Maintenance of Lower Hulls Gulch and other trails
    Educational efforts to promote responsible cycling.
  • 1996
    SWIMBA/REI project to construct Shane’s Loop (#26A) trail.
    SWIMBA received “Health of the Land” award from the BLM for preservation efforts within the Boise Front.
    Assisted the Idaho State Parks and Recreation Department with the construction of the Banner Ridge yurt in the Idaho City trail system. This yurt was the first public yurt constructed in SW Idaho.
  • 1997
    SWIMBA/REI project to re-route trail #1.
    Assisted in the development of the Hidden Springs trail network.
    Cooperated with Idaho State Parks and Recreation Department to build two new yurts in the Idaho City trail system.
  • 1998
    SWIMBA/REI project to connect new parking area off of Bogus Basin Road to the Corrals Trail (#31).
    Cooperated with the Columbia Village Neighborhood Association and the Surprise Valley Neighborhood Association to clean up the Oregon Trail Historic Reserve.
  • 1999
    SWIMBA/REI project in cooperation with Ridge to Rivers to build two new trails. The first connects Eighth Street to the Crestline Trail (#28). The second connects Lower Hulls Gulch with the Crestline Trail (#28).
    Added and maintained trails in the Idaho City trail system in cooperation with the Idaho State Parks and Recreation Department and the US Forest Service.
  • 2000
    Ongoing trail maintenance in the Boise Foothills and Idaho City - 350 hours of volunteer time.
  • 2001
    Started local chapter of Sprockids which began as an IMBA supported program and later transferred to Boise Bicycle School.
    The Foothills Open Space Campaign and SWIMBA aligned to raise money and hire a campaign manager. The initiative passed and a fund to preserve open space was established.
  • 2002
    Foothills Ambassadors began working to educate trail users.
  • 2003
    Tour de Fat came to Boise for the first time.
    The Boise National Forest and SWIMBA began development of the Shafer Butte Master Trail Plan.
  • 2004
    National Trails Day and trail maintenance in the Boise Foothills kept volunteers busy.
  • 2005
    SWIMBA gave a $3,500 donation to Ridge to Rivers for new trails. Trails included links from Military Reserve to Shane’s, Polecat Gulch, and Five Mile.
  • 2006
    SWIMBA received $5,000 from REI for maps and signage of the Phase I of the Shafer Butte Master Trail Plan.
  • 2007
    SWIMBA extends a commitment to the Eastside Trail Extension project, along with $2,000 for publishing new trail maps.
    Trailpalooza celebrates the accomplishments of Phase I of the Shafer Butte Master Trail Plan and the map of the new trails is released to the public.
  • 2008
    SWIMBA provides matching funds to Ridge to Rivers to apply for an RTP grant. The grant is approved and the Watchman Trail is constructed.
    SWIMBA partnered with Ridge to Rivers to install trail etiquette signs.
  • 2009
    Donation to Ridge to Rivers for new signage.
  • 2011
    Provided grants to the Land Trust of the Treasure Valley and Boise Bicycle Project.
  • 2016
    Grant given to Boise Bicycle Project.
  • 2017
    Grant given to the Treasure Valley Cycling Alliance.
  • 2018
    Grant given to Boise Young Rider Development program.
  • 2021
    Grants given to Boise Bicycle Project and Dirt Dolls.
    Ramps installed at Boise Bike Park.
    Pick Your Poison trail built.
  • 2022
    Grants given to Crank Queens Boise, Idaho Women’s Bike Packing, Boise Bicycle Project, Grow Cycling Foundation, Land Trust of the Treasure Valley.
    Bikes awarded to NICA riders.
  • 2023
    New jump line with ramps installed at Eagle Bike Park.
    First class of SWIMBA Academy received bikes and lessons.
  • 2024
    Broken Horn Trail re-routed to allow trail to open.
    Second class of SWIMBA Academy received bikes and lessons.
    Installed new trail marking signs at Wilson Creek in partnership with Wilson Creek Trail Coalition.
    Grants given to Crank Queens Boise and Idaho Women's Bike Packing.
