What is SWIMBA Academy?

SWIMBA Academy is a program to support young riders in the Treasure Valley.  In 2024, SWIMBA will be providing bikes, gear, and lessons for young riders in need. Each rider will receive 3 lessons. Lessons will cover the basics of riding and skills to keep riders safe. Riders will receive either an entry-level dirt jumper or cross country bike based on their preference and riding style.

Who is eligible for this program?

Young riders up to age 21 who live in Southwest Idaho. The ideal candidates for SWIMBA Academy will be riders newer to the sport who, due to family or personal financial constraints, their current bikes and gear may be holding them back for either starting to mountain bike or taking their riding to the next level.

When can I apply?

Applications will be accepted from May 1, 2024 to May 31, 2024.

How do I apply?

Click the Apply Today button below to submit your online application. Please include a short essay telling us what being a member of SWIMBA Academy will mean to you. You may also provide us with a link to a short video introducing yourself and telling us about your riding goals. Complete applications including essay and video will be considered first.
